Elscint recently completed a project where in the requirement was for feeding of small metal caps having diameter 10 mm x 12 mm height in a vibratory bowl feeder in two rows. The orientation required was rolling in such a way that the open side of the caps was to face each other. A gravity chute with a particular centre distance was required to be provided ahead of the bowl feeder. The speed or feed rate required was 100 cups per minute per row (2 rows). As there were two outlets, overflow provision was required to be provided for the bowl feeder. Elscint achieved a speed of 200 cups per minute per outlet (2 outlets). Each of the gravity chutes was provided with a sensor so that in case both the chutes were full, the bowl feeder was switched off. You can watch the video of the washer bowl feeder.
