Continuous Casting Machine Parts - Cooling Chamber Exhaust Ducting


1	Function	Extraction of steam generated in Cooling chamber.
2	Location	Located between walls of cooling chamber and steel structure boundary of CCM.
3	Design / Construction	Ducting from the cooling chamber to the inlet of the fan and from the outlet until boundary of casting platform.
4	Cooling Chamber Construction	Chamber extending from intermediate level to casting floor level and enclosing the secondary cooling zone will be of stiffened plate construction. Chamber up to intermediate level will be of steel plate construction. The size will be such as to permit Satisfactory access to the secondary cooling zone for checking, adjustment and maintenance purpose.
