The exact quantity of aluminum to be introduced into the steel being cast,the extent of product quality required, the casting technique being followed so on. However, based on actual experience and theoretical calculation, following generalization can be arrived at: For Low Carbon : Max 250 gms/ton of steel For medium Carbon steel : Max.150 gms/ton of steel.
