------- Mixing of the Paint
» General appearance of the paint, NO settling and NO separation NO Foaming, NO floatation.
» Check temperature of the shop floor.
» Mix the paint in barrel for 15-20 minutes by slow speed stirrer.
» Check settling
» Continue mixing for 15 minutes
» Check temperature of paint.
» Check viscosity
» Adjust viscosity if required by adding the thinner
» Install cleaned pump.
» Attach filter bag to the feeding pipe.
------- Paint flow
» Maintain regular paint flow. » Paint should be in good flow from barrel to Paint Tray and from Tray to Barrel back.
» Check for the Foam generation and avoid foam to transfer to coating rolls.
» Paint Temperature as mentioned in TC
» Place the baffle so that the return paint does not get picked up any contamination or foam.
------- PMT and OVEN TEMPRATURE SETTING
» Zone-wise oven setting.
» Maintain the temperature profile record.
» PMT strips Should be available during trial.
------- Paint Application in lab
» Check all the properties in Lab by applying the paints in Lab.
» Check the Curing by PMT check.
» Curing & Paint adhesion by Solvent rub MEK test
» Pencill hardness
» Scraatch test as per customer.
------- General Test to be conducted in LAB
These test are require for all Primer/ Topcoat & Back Coat.
