Alka Laboratories Pvt. Ltd, formerly Alka Remedies Pvt. Limited, was incorporated in 1998 as a Private Limited Company into the business of trading and manufacturing of chemicals, solvents, bulk drugs and APIs. Major activity of the company was earlier focused in the Pharma and Chemical industries and the ability to outsource the need of highly technical and complicated Pharma raw material.
During FY 2006, as a part of growth strategy, the company acquired a running bulk drugs manufacturing unit at Bhiwadi in Rajashthan, in a compromised deal with Bank of India under SARFAESI ACT. The factory is located at a well planned and known industrial area, RIICO, in phase III-Bhiwadi.

The asset acquired by ALPL, in RIICO area, at Bhiwadi [Raj] includes the total plot area of 14400 Sq. mt. With the production block of 4070 sq. mt. and the underground and overhead tanks constructed for storing of the solvents measures approximately 1200 sq.mt.
