The Way We Work

On receipt of enquiries from customers, we go into the details of the cost of manufacture. Based on this we submit our most reasonable offer to the customer.

Once we receive the purchase order, we normally submit samples from pilot moulds. We incorporate any suggestions by our clients at this stage and then create multicavity moulds. The bulk supplies begin only after one or two initial lots are assembled and tried out and assayed by our customers.

This method has proven to be very successful. The continuous patronage of customers who started buying from us since 1966 and 1967 is a testimony to the standards maintained by us in our supplies.

The Manufacturing Facilities At ASRI.

We have a full range of facilities to manufacture rubber products.

We have moulding presses, screw and hydraulic type, extruders, boilers and vulcaniser auto-claves. We have different sizes of mixing mills and kneaders for compounding of polymers and elastomers. We also have CNC injection Moulding Machines.

Our Research & Development Department is backed by laboratory consisting of a full range of equipment to test shore hardness, tensile, modulus, elongation at break, compression set, ageing characteristics and the ash content in rubber. We keep ourselves fully informed of the results from laboratories all over the world regarding fluid resistance of various polymers under various conditions. This is to enable us to select the best polymers for your usage.

We have tool-room facilities for making our own dies, moulds, tools and fixtures.

The tools as well as the finished products are inspected on a magnified profile projector for final inspection.

Auto Steel and Rubber Industries Private Limited (ASRI) has been manufacturing high quality rubber products since 1966. They are specialized in OEM business. They received ISO 9000 certificate as early as 1995 and have since qualified for QS 9000 and are among the first of the rubber product manufacturers who have received TS 16949 Certificate. This is indicative of their commitment to be leaders in the field of rubber products manufacture.

ASRI consists of a team of engineers, rubber chemists and other technicians with wide know-how in rubber products manufacture.

We specialize in rubber to metal bonded products such as Rollers, Buffers, Valve inserts, Vibration Isolators, Silent blocks etc.

Extrudates of various types are manufactured by us, for e.g. Transparent Silicone Tubes, Profiles, and Beadings etc.

Our Range of Rubber Hoses includes Hand-built Hump Hoses, Braided Hoses, Radiator Hoses, Cotton and Synthetic Yarn Reinforced Hoses and other Specialized Hoses.

Our specialty is in manufacturing Rubber Products to customers’ specifications and we enjoy developing new products all the time for our clients.

The Materials We Use.

We manufacture Rubber Product from the entire spectrum of polymers and elastomers. They are Natural, Nitrile, Ploychloroprene (Neoprene), Butyl, E.P.D.M., Chlorosulphonated Polyethylene (Hypalon), Polyacrylic, Polyurethane, Silicone and Fluoro-Elastomers like Fluorsilicone and Fluorocarbon ( Viton, Fluorel, Daikin, Aflas, etc.). We also manufacture Products from blended elastomers like PVC/NBR and also TPES’ and TPOS’.

Our teams of rubber technologists are abreast with the knowledge of new polymers and elastomers being introduced the world over. If you have a requirement in any new material, you are welcome to take advantage of our know-how.

BUSINESS PLAN

In keeping with the growth of National Economy ASRI has planned an ambitious growth strategy for the next five years.

From the current sales of Rs.10 crores i.e. Rs. 100 millions in 2007-2008 (Rs. 6 cr. Moulded & extended components and Rs. 4 cr. Hoses). It plans too triple up to Rs. 18 crores sales by 2013 of Rubber moulded and extended components and Rs.12 crores for hoses.

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE UNIT

Founded in 1966.

Structure: partnership

ASRI started as Auto Steel Industries at Bhosari Industrial Estate, Poona. This was the new Industrial Area being developed near Poona (now Pune).

In 1995 this partnership concern was converted into a Private Limited Company.

ASI, between 1966 to 1995 had already developed over 15000 import substitution rubber products. Since 1995 it has continued development of new products at practically one new product per day.

Since 2003 it has entered into exports of its products. ASRI exports their products to USA, Australia, South Africa, England, Germany, France, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, Finland and Italy.
