Design Capabilities - Process Validation

Description

1. Wall Thickness Controlled in Moulding Process by using Special Multiple Points Thickness Parision Control Unit.
2. Part Shrinkage controlled in molding Process by supplying Water Circulation Line Provided in Mold inside.
3. Part Shrinkage controlled in post molding Process by using jig-fixtures.
4. Developed Fixtures for Piaggio Dashborad & Air Hose.

Validation Of The Product - Digital Design Validation

  • Objective: To validate the design by using tools like Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Advantage: The product design is validated before manufacture so that the chances of field failures can be reduced to zero

Design Constraints & Validation Matrix

  • The mounting locations are fixed
  • The minimum liquid capacity is fixed
  • The maximum weight of assembly is fixed
  • Should withstand Leak Test
  • Should withstand Vibration Test
  • Should withstand Thermal Cycle Test
  • Should withstand Ball Impact Test
  • Should withstand Filler Neck Strength Test
  • Should withstand Pipe Bend Test
  • Should withstand Static Burst Pressure Test

Digital Design Validation – Leak Test

  • The digital model of the assembly with the cap will be subjected to a pressure of 2x rated pressure.
  • The output from the s/w will indicate if there is a chance of leakage through the seal in the cap.

Digital Design Validation – Vibration Test

  • The digital model of the assembly will be given a vibration, usually given as a Acceleration Vs Frequency* curve in 3 directions
  • The output from the s/w will indicate the stress induced due to vibration as liable to cause failures after “N” cycles.
