In Sugar Industry Drop Forged chains are mainly used for Cane feeding applications in Cane washing section .
The construction of this Drop forged chain is such a way that no tool is required for assembly & dis-assembly ,hence it very simple to carry assembly work at site .
Also new sliding surface can be used by changing the position of link after wearing the original surface.Positive lacking action is provided in side links with the forged pins having a double 'T' head on both sides.Similarly for side links worm out surface for Pins can be rotated in 180 degree to use the unworn side of pin in contact with the side bar and center link .
With above flexibility without disturbing the original pitch life of chain is increased .

Fabricated Rake Carrier Chain

This type of Fabricated rake carrier/conveyor chain are manufactured with Breaking strength in the range from 20,000 to 80,000 kgf.
Chain links are made from low carbon and medium carbon steel . these links are subjected to the precision machining with their mating parts to Pin and Bush duly heat treated to avoid linear elongation and to get better strength shot pinning is performed for links to improve the fatigue strength .
Pin & Bushes are made from Stainless Steel (Austenitic & Martensitic ) with precision machining followed by through hardening and tempering in case of Martensitic stainless steel to increase wear resistance and then ground finishing are done for perfect fitting (Interference-fit) .
Rollers are made from medium carbon steel duly heat treated then fitted with hardened and tempered linear Bush of Martensitic stainless Steel to avoid corrosion and to increase wear resistance .
