Hitox (Titanium Dioxide)
Warm, Vibrant colors come alive with HITOX natural-colored TiO2. Originally developed by the Hitox Corporation as an economical formulating alternative to white titanium dioxide, improvements to HITOX now allow replacement of other pigments as well. In addition to white TiO2, HITOX may replace phthalo blues and greens, hansa yellows, organic oranges, synthetic iron oxides, and carbon black (in whole or in part, depending on formulation) and give you the same bright colors you have now. That means you can save on your total pigment cost without sacrificing opacity, consistency or color.
Coatings applications for HITOX encompass alkyds, acrylic urethanes, high solids systems, water reducibles, water bases, and powder coatings. Plastics uses include PVC pipe and conduit, color concentrates, and vinyl siding. HITOX also finds uses in inks, adhesives, paper, foundry products, and building materials.
