HISTORY - Spectrum Paints and Allied Products was established in 1979 by three entrepreneurs Mr. V. A.Vartak , Mr. S. R.Patwardhan and Late Mr. R.W.Navani who were having sound techno commercial experience in the field of Industrial Paints. The mentor of these three entrepreneurs was Late Mr. D.D. Wagh who was Senior Paint Technologist ( BSc. TECH .) by education . He also acquired advanced technical knowledge from U.K. and was respected by many people in the Paint Industry as highly talented technocrat.

The vision of the organisation is to be always one step ahead of the others. The company started its manufacturing unit at Rabale – Navi Mumbai with a small capacity . In the beginning it started manufacturing and marketing Synthetic Enamels for painting of Barrels and Steel Furniture and specially deigned protective paint for mirror industry . The key strengths of the company were superior quality products and quick deliveries of finished products after receiving purchase orders from the customers. Due to these strengths, within short span of time it could gain acceptance among reputed companies in the field of Engineering , Equipment manufacturer as the most preferred supplier of industrial paints. As advised by Late Mr. D.D. Wagh , company has always worked on the principle of developing and supplying quality products consistently which should add value to the customer’s products and thereby over the years the percentage of rejection has been negligible.

MANAGEMENT - Currently the company is managed by Mr. V. A. Vartak (BSC Tech Paints ) and Mr. S.S. Patwardhan (BE.Chem). With changing needs of the customers the company has moved with the times and has developed new products to meet the requirements of the customers. Company has implemented quality management system and is certified by URS for ISO 9001 -2008.

Spectrum Paints and Allied Products has upgraded manufacturing equipments with high speed machines and having in –house laboratory with latest testing equipments . Also it is taking help of reputed laboratories like IIT and UICT . Details of products currently manufactured are available in another web page under the heading of Products.
