High Rate Solid Contact Clarifiers

Clarifiers provided by Clarifier Plant manufacturer are settling tanks built with mechanical means for continuous removal of solids being deposited by sedimentation. A clarifier is generally used to remove suspended solids from liquid for clarification and (or) thickening. Concentrated impurities, discharged from the bottom of the tank are known as sludge, while the particles that float to the surface of the liquid are called scum.

Principle
The purpose of a clarifier system is to remove solids, produce a cleaner effluent and concentrate solids. Clarifier system works on the principle of gravity settling Concentration of solids removed from the wastewater reduces the volume of sludge for dewatering and/or disposal. You will find a huge number of clarifier suppliers and Clarifier Plant manufacturer.

Purpose

  • Remove solids that pass through headworks and grit equipment.
  • Buffer flow and load stabilization to secondary process / split stream treatments.
  • Separate and remove solids/biomass produced in biological process in manner that suits process goals (rapid sludge removal, detention time, etc.)
  • Store biomass as buffer to prevent process upsets.

High Rate Solid Contact Clarifier
The HRSCC in India for industrial process water applications, with inherent design to conserve water, and save costs. The High Rate Solid Contact Clarifier usually called as HRSCC is used mostly wherein the incoming load conditions vary. Much wider range of water qualities can be handled in the HRSCC Clarifier. The principle is based on mixing existing floc with the incoming effluent, to create a dense floc, which can be easily settled down. The HRSCC collection tank will be in RCC. HRSCC will be supplied with the internals of the tank including draft, re-circulator, flash mixer, gearboxes, inlet and outlet collection launders and along with the chemical dosing system.

Application Areas

  • Industrial applications
  • Water and Waste Water Treatment at municipal corporation
Tube Settler
Tube settlers are commonly used in rectangular clarifier system to increase the settling capacity by reducing the vertical distance a suspended particle must travel. High efficiency tube settlers use a stack of parallel tubes, rectangles or flat pieces separated by a few inches (several centimeters) and sloping upwards in the direction of flow. This structure creates a large number of narrow parallel flow pathways encouraging uniform laminar flow as modeled by Stokes' law. These structures work in two ways:
  • Clarifier system provide a very large surface area onto which particles may fall and become stabilized.
  • Because flow is temporarily accelerated between the plates and then immediately slows down, Clarifier Plant helps to aggregate very fine particles that can settle as the flow exits the plates.
Application Areas
  • Raw Water Treatment
  • Sewage Treatment
  • Primary as well as secondary Effluent Treatment

Tube settlers capture the fine particles allowing the larger particles to travel to the bottom of the clarifier in a more uniform form. The fine particles then build up into a larger mass which then slides down the tube channels. The reduction in solids present in the outflow allows a reduction in the clarifier footprint when designing. Tubes made of PVC plastic are a minor cost in clarifier design improvements and may lead to an increase of operating rate of 2 to 4 times.

WTE Infra is the best Clarifier Plant manufacturer offers a wide range of clarifier system to suit various clarification applications, from pre-treatment to effluent treatment. WTE Infra is the major clarifier suppliers and its Clarifier Plant are designed to receive raw/waste from the incoming stream, after it has been pre-screened to remove large objects and grit. Different types of Clarifier Plant are used in the industry Lamella Clarifier/Tube Settler is a physical unit, which is provided to remove suspended solids from the water. The Waste water of Clarifier Plant is normally allowed to pass through the tubes/plates, water tends to move-up to the solids naturally move down because of the gravity. Settled solid is gathering into the sludge pit at bottom of the tank and it is taken to the sludge treatment units. Clarifier system is regularly used to lessen the departure of suspended solids from fluid for illumination and bio-mass with the sewage. It contain roundabout/rectangular tank with a clarifier arm to rub down the settled muck through the slanted container to the ooze pit from the ooze treatment units. Clarifier system at the water treatment plant provides primary treatment of the drinking water by removing oxidized minerals and other solids from the raw water. These clarifiers provided by Clarifier Plant manufacturer are subjected to seasonal weather, ultraviolet light and exposure to chemical additives during the treatment process. Due to the importance of these units to the treatment train the units periodically require a thorough inspection; repair, and rehabilitation efforts, Clarifier Plant manufacturer provides the best plant.

Clarifloculator is a combination of flocculation and clarification in a single tank. It has two concentric tanks where inner tank serves as a flocculation basin and the outer tank serves as a clarifier. In the Clariflocculator, the water enters the flocculator zone, where the flocculating paddles enhance flocculation of the feed solids. As heavy particles settle to the bottom, the liquid flows radially upward in the clarifier zone, the clarified liquid is discharged over a peripheral weir into the peripheral launder. The deposited sludge is raked to the bottom near the central weir from where it is routed to the sludge chamber and discharged.
