Dhumal Poultry Flooring Systems are designed to international standards from high-quality plastic — a durable, hygienic surface for poultry houses that supports efficient manure removal.
They provide a cleaner, healthier environment, reduce the risk of bird injury and disease, permit higher yield, and offer ease of use, maintenance and tough durability. To improve hygiene inside the house, part of the house should be equipped with plastic slats — droppings are stored below and removed after each batch. The correct design (width and height) of the slats ensures hens can easily reach the nests when leaving the litter area via the slat system.

The 2 ft. × 4 ft. plastic slats are lightweight and handy — they can be fitted with 1" × 1" and 1¼" × 1¼" angle. Side walls should have windows to ensure proper ventilation, needed for quick manure drying.
After the cycle is over, the slats can be lifted out at a few places and manure can be removed easily. Alternatively, the shed can be a raised-floor design — floor raised to about 6 ft – 7 ft, with the difference between slatt and deep litter about one foot.
Generally, 2/3rd slats and 1/3rd deep litter are kept in the poultry shed. Jumbo drinkers & feeders are placed on the slats, and nest boxes are hung as shown in the diagram. The slats are strong enough even for labour to walk on.
