Application & Function
Through Conduit Gate Valves are essential in transmission pipelines where isolation without pressure drop is required. They are designed to allow the passage of "pigs" (pipeline inspection gauges) used for cleaning and inspection.
These valves utilize a slab or expanding gate design that moves into the flow stream to open or close. When fully open, the bore provides a seamless path for the fluid, eliminating turbulence and cavitation risks associated with partial valve closure.
Design Features
The valve features two seated plates that expand against the body seats when closed, providing a dual block and bleed capability. This ensures high-integrity sealing even under high-pressure differentials.
- Block and Bleed capability
- Self-cleaning gate seats
- Double block and bleed
- Fire-safe design options
Construction & Materials
The body and bonnet are precision cast or forged from high-grade materials such as WCB (Carbon Steel) or CF8/CF8M (Stainless Steel) to ensure durability in corrosive and high-temperature environments.
