Model Code : SEWMC01 (100 lit. assembly) / SEWMC02 (200 lit. assembly) / SEWMC03 (400 lit. assembly)

The ASTM B117 test apparatus for salt spray testing evaluates corrosion behavior of coatings & paints under salt spray conditions with specified temperature & humidity conditions. The apparatus provides controlled corrosive environment. The test introduces a spray in close chamber where specimens are exposed at specific locations and angles. The concentration of the NaCl solution ranges from 3.5 to 20%. Hot, humid air is created by bubbling compressed air through a bubble (humidifying) tower containing hot de-ionized water. The hot, humid air and the salt solution are mixed at the nozzle; it is atomized into a corrosive fog. This creates a 100% relative humidity condition in the exposure zone. This helps in producing relative corrosion resistance information for specimens of metals and coated metals exposed in the test chambers.
