FOR CUSTOMERS, DEALERS, LICENSEES, AND OTHER THIRD PARTIES


SVS PHILOSOPHY ON TRADEMARKS & BRANDS

We are passionate about protecting the reputation of our brand. SVS trademarks and brands are intellectual / licensed property and are important and valuable assets of the company Sudha Ventilating Systems Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter mentioned as SVS). Usage of our Trademarks / Brands must always follow the Rules for Proper Usage included in the following Guidelines. In addition, SVS may provide you with written requirements as to the size, typeface, colors, and other graphic characteristics.

TRADEMARK

Trademark is a word, name, symbol or device (or a combination thereof) that identifies the goods or services of a person or company, and distinguishes them from the goods and services of others. A trademark assures consumers of consistent quality, with respect to those goods or services, and aids in their promotion. If trademarks are not used properly, they may be lost and one of the company's most important assets may lose all of its value. These Guidelines apply to SVS employees, customers, dealers, licensees, consultants, outside vendors, and other third parties. Authorized users of the SVS trademark or logo, kindly follow these.

GUIDELINES FOR PROPER USAGE USING SVS TRADEMARKS & LOGOS

Please follow these Guidelines for using SVS and others' trademarks and logos properly, for internal and external communications, documents, electronic messages and websites. You may refer to SVS products and services by their associated SVS trademarks, so long as such references (a) are truthful, fair, and not misleading, and (b) comply with these Guidelines, which may be modified by SVS from time to time in the sole discretion of SVS.

MUST DO’S

  1. Use the appropriate trademark symbol and trademark acknowledgment of SVS ownership of the marks and/or logos in question.
  2. If you do not capitalize the entire mark, always spell and capitalize the trademark exactly as they are shown in the SVS Trademarks.
  3. Use the trademark only as an adjective, never as a noun or verb, and never in the plural or possessive form.
  4. Use a generic term following the trademark, for example: HURRICANE industrial ventilator, Hurricane ventilator, HURRICANE vertical vane ventilator.
  5. Use only SVS-approved artwork when using SVS logos.
  6. If you are using a SVS logo on a web page, there must exist a minimum spacing of 25 pixels between each side of the logo and other graphic or textual elements on your web page.
  7. Normally, an unregistered SVS Brand should be followed by the superscripted letters TM to give notice that the company claims trademark rights in the term.
  8. Always use trademarks and brand names in the ways they were intended to be used. Do not use them for goods or services for which they were not originally intended. Do not alter them in any way. Do not make puns out of them or portray them in a negative light.
  9. Websites, visiting cards, internal & external communications, other documents should clearly mention that the user of SVS trademarks is an authorised representative user and should not imply that he is a SVS personnel.
  10. A registered SVS Brand should be followed by the symbol ® to identify the term as a registered trademark.
  11. In advertising copy, notice of trademark rights may be provided in a footnote format – e.g., by placing an asterisk adjacent to the SVS Brand and placing an appropriate notice at the bottom of the page on which the asterisk appears. Example: *WINDY is a trademark of Sudha Ventilating Systems Pvt. Ltd.

DO NOT’S

  1. Do not remove, distort or alter any element of the SVS Brand. That includes modifying the SVS trademark, e.g., through hyphenation, combination or abbreviation.
  2. Do not replace SVS trademarks or brand names and replace with your own names from any official SVS documents like catalogs, brochures, purchase orders, photographs, etc.
  3. Do not make unlicensed use of SVS licensed logos. Third party use of SVS logos requires a license or written permission from SVS. If you are interested in obtaining a license to use an SVS mark or logo, contact your SVS marketing or sales representative, or SVS sales office.
  4. Do not display an SVS Brand Feature in any manner that implies a relationship or affiliation with, sponsorship, or endorsement by SVS, or that can be reasonably interpreted to suggest editorial content has been authored by, or represents the views or opinions of SVS or SVS personnel.
  5. Do not display a SVS Brand Feature on any web site that contains or displays adult content, promotes gambling, involves the sale of tobacco or alcohol to persons under twenty-one years of age, or otherwise violates applicable law.
  6. Do not display an SVS Brand Feature in a manner that is in SVS sole opinion misleading, unfair, defamatory, infringing, libelous, disparaging, obscene or otherwise objectionable to SVS.
  7. Do not frame or mirror any SVS page (including the page that appears in response to a click on the SVS logo).
  8. Do not incorporate SVS Brand Features into your own product name, service names, trademarks, logos, or company names.
  9. Do not copy or imitate SVS trade dress, including the look and feel of SVS web design properties or SVS brand packaging, distinctive color combinations, typography, graphic designs, product icons, or imagery associated with SVS. Don’t adopt marks, logos, slogans, or designs that are confusingly similar to our Brand Features.
  10. Do not register SVS trademarks as second-level domain names
  11. Do not use SVS trademarks in a way that suggests a common, descriptive, or generic meaning
  12. Trademark rights vary from country to country. Some countries have severe criminal and civil penalties for improper use of the registration symbol. Therefore, don’t use the registration symbol (®) in countries where the mark has not been registered.
