Fluorosurfactants & Fluoro based additives are considered as Performance and Engineered additives used in industrial applications. Due to their tendency to lower the surface tension right up to 20 dynes or even less of aqueous & solvent based coatings. The super wetting properties of Fluorosurfactants is greatest advantage among all additive family. In comparison with Hydrocarbon and Silicone/Siloxane surfactant the Fluorinated surfactants are much more effective due to its creating hydrophillic and liphophillic balance with Hydrophonic property. Due to this properties like dirt pick up resistance, stain resistance can be achieved using Fluorinated Surfactants. Fluorosurfactants are chemical compounds that, composed of two pole one of hydrophilic head and another highly hydrophobic fluorocarbon tail. Fluorosurfactants play a vital role in coatings, inks, adhesives, soldering paste, metal treatments & some resin modification as well. Besides these common applications today Fluorinated surfactants are been tried using in innovative applications like mist suppressant, gold plating. stone sealers, degreaser and cleaners. The Fluorosurfactants also offer excellent levelling & gloss of 2K Solvent based Epoxy and Polyurethane flooring and clear coats. In aqueous based interior and exterior paints adding fluoro based additives and surfactants enhance properties of stain-resistance, water and oil repellency treatment and dirt pick up resistance. These Fluorosurfactants are an important integral part of floor polishers and stone sealers to penetrate the coatings The formulators can easily add Fluorinated additives along with existing additives a very low dosage start from 0,05%.
