Design & Development
We have a team of experienced design engineers in our New Product Development Team who create drawings and models for child parts, fnished products and tools for mass production. Our NPD team works as per the 5-D model of New Development which is a Gilard patented method of development cycle which includes Function Study, Design and Process FMEAs. Our in-house captive Tool Room manufactures the tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures as per the design team.
PRODUCT DESIGN
OSMTM - NPD software solution is used to design new products by our certified design engineers. They work on customer's input which can be a finished drawing, a sample, a 3D model or just a concept. All the requirements of APQP / PPAP are covered by using state of the art methodology for product and process design. We also use CAD / CAM, Solid Modelling as well as Prototype sampling to aid our design.
TOOL DESIGN
We do product designing and then process designing. We also then design the moulds, press tools, jigs and fixtures as well as checking aids.
We mostly design progressive tools for our sheet metal parts and multi cavity moulds for our plastic moulded parts. For our assembly processes, we design jigs,fixtures as well as Special Purpose Machines.
TOOL MANUFACTURING
We have a captive tool room which is equipped with sophisticated machines like CNC wire cuts, EDMs, Machining centres, Grinders, etc. We also have measuring equipment like CMM, profile projectors and tool maker's microscope. The entire tool room is manned by highly skilled machinists, tool makers and inspectors.
PRODUCT VALIDATION
Our design and development activity starts by capturing the 'Voice of the Customer' and then freezing the DVP (Design Validation Plan).
All design activities like function study, QFD, DFMEA are based on the DVP.
Once the development activities are completed, the pilot samples are subjected to testing as per the DVP in our in-house LAB as well as our approved LABs.
