Machine Tool Coolers

Frigid-X™ Tool Coolers, Tool Cooling System are used for dry machining applications. Tool Coolers replaces polluting and often toxic mist systems to improve dry machining operations. No mess, no residue and low in cost. It is efficient and can improve dry machining operations and assist in spot cooling applications for a variety of industrial machining processes but increasing matchining rates and extending tool life. Produces cold air at approximately 50°F (28° C) below supply air temperature. The unit is muffled for quiet operation. No moving parts assures long life, maintenance free operation while extending tool life and improving production rates. We Now Have Two Systems For Your Tool Cooling Needs! "Reduce Cost Of Mist Coolant Systems With The Nex Flow™ Tool Cooling Mist System Or Replace Mist Entirely With Dry Cooling To Improve Your Factory Productivity And Environment In Machining."

The Dry Machining System
The Nex Flow™ Frigid-X™ Vortex Tube Tool Cooling System is used in dry machining applications and can often replace “mist coolants” in machine operations. The vortex tube operated system utilizes a stainless steel vortex tube and stainless overall construction which takes compressed air from a small amount of ordinary compressed air and splits it into a hot stream and a cold stream. The cold end is about 50 degrees F. (28 degrees C) below supply air temperature and is used to “cool” the cutting tool and part while machining.
There is no messy coolant, no hazardous mist, no residue and is low in cost. Quality of the part can be improved and output can be increased significantly more than offsetting air costs. There are no moving parts, no electricity and essentially maintenance free in operation. Has a strong Magnetic Base to secure the unit to the machine.

The Mist Machining System
REDUCE COOLANT CONSUMPTION AND IMPROVE MACHINING PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY
The Frigid-X™ SUB ZERO VORTEX™ Tool Cooling Mist System is a unique patent pending mist unit designed to improve machining operations requiring cooling and/or lubrication when dry machining cannot alone be used. Unlike mist systems that supply liquid which is not cooled, or more costly system that cool the liquid, the simple design of the Sub Zero Vortex™ Tool Cooling Mist System, supplies and cools the liquid to as low as 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) using a small vortex tube without any additional pumping system. The result is a low cost and essentially maintenance free system that supplies cold liquid reducing the mist volume by as much as 20%.
The liquid is cooled by means of a small vortex tube that uses around 5 SCFM (142 SLPM) at a maximum of 50 psig (3.5 bar). An adjusting screw controls the level of mist required. Liquid is siphoned into the unit using a long plastic lower in cost while better in design. The Nex FlowTM Frigid-XTM Vortex Tube Tool Cooling System comes in various capacities. The larger the capacity the greater the cooling.
