PROTEC DW 201, 202 and DW 204
are solvent deposited, water displacing type soft film rust preventives with finger print neutralising properties. PROTEC DW 201 is solvent deposited water displacing soft film type rust preventive and on the evaporation of solvent forms a thicker and firmer oily film which offers protection to the steel parts for several weeks. It is also best applied by dipping of the machined parts in the oil bath.
PROTEC DW 202 is used where the protection period required, is weeks rather than days. It forms a thicker and firmer oil film on the evaporation of depositing solvent. PROTEC DW 202 also has water displacing and finger print neutralising characterstics.
PROTEC DW 204 is recommended for inter operational protection of steel parts particularly useful when parts machined with water based coolants have to the stored for a few days. It is best applied by dipping the parts in a bath containing PROTEC DW 204. Spraying or flood application can also be used for application. A suitable arrangement should be made for the water to settle/ seperate and drain off from bottom of the dipping or circulating tanks.
PROTEC DW 2025 is recommended for inter operational protection of steel parts particularly useful when parts machined with water based coolants have to the stored for a few days.
It has very good water displacing properties and has finger print neutralising capability. It can also be used as a mild press working lubricant.
It is best applied by dipping the parts in a bath containing PROTEC DW 2025. Spraying or flood application can also be used for application. A suitable arrangement should be made for the water to settle/ separate and drain off from bottom of the dipping or circulating tanks.

PROTEC DW 244
is solvent deposited soft film, water displacing type with finger print neutralising properties. PROTEC DW 244 has been formulated from highly refined lubricating base stocks containing special rust and corrosion protection addtives keeping in mind specially the Ball and Roller Bearing rust preventive requirements. It is suitable for surface protection of all highly polished surfaces and as a sealant for phosphatised components. It is also suitable for small parts like taps, dies, screws, nuts and bolts.

It is suitable for surface protection of all highly polished surfaces and as a sealant for phosphatised components. It is also suitable for small parts like taps, dies, screws, nuts and bolts.
PROTEC DW 244 is applied by cold dipping or spraying copiously the ball and roller bearings or the parts to be protected. After draining the excess fluid, and on drying of solvent, PROTEC DW 244 leaves a firm oily colourless film. It is desirable to give the solvent drying time of minimum 12 hrs. but preferably 24 hrs. for good results.

Removal :- Kerosene or white spirit or solvent vapour degreasing removes the film readily for ball or roller bearings and small tools. Generally, it is not necessary to remove the protective as it is compatible with the lubricants or greases used for lubrication. Alkaline degreasants are not generally recommended for highly polished surfaces.
PROTEC 611 AND 612
are made from specially selected Lubricating Base Oils containing special rust and corrosion inhibitors. They offer high degree of protection to steel and other polished metallic surfaces from rust and corrosion. They also posses lubricating property beside being temporary corrosion protectives.
PROTEC 611 is a low viscosity oil and forms thin soft oily film. Particularly indicated for protection of steel sheets and strips, drawn tubes, wires, rods, etc.
PROTEC 612 is heavier in viscosity than PROTEC 611 and thereby offers thicker protective film as well as better lubricating characterstics. It is widely used for protection of sewing machine parts, gear boxes, hydraulic equipment when not in use, scooter and cycle parts, etc.
METHODS OF APPLICATION :-
PROTEC 611 and 612 are oil based, having definite viscosity and film forming properties. The methods of application can be manual or mechanical as long as the film formed is uniform. Brushing, roller coating, slushing are the various methods used, depending on the items to be protected.

PROTEC DW 717
is a solvent deposited, water displacing type rust preventive which forms soft waxy brown film on the metal surface and is designed to stand a degree of handling of the protected surfaces.
PROTEC DW 717 is popularly used as temporary protective for steel tubes, bright bars, steel strips, wheel rings, auto parts, etc. Application is by brushing, dipping, spraying or roller coating.
Removal of the protective film can be carried out by solvent or alkaline degreasing methods.
