Industrial - Soluble Cutting Oils

COOLRITE GP

The product is a general purpose soluble cutting oil specially formulated to give all the required qualities of such a product. It exceeds IS 1115 in all respects.

Coolrite GP forms stable white emulsion which has excellent lubricity and cooling properties required of such a coolant. It has bacterial stability giving a long sump life.

Copper Corrossion :-

@ 100 deg. c. 3 ltrs 1A

Application :-
Suitable for use in turning, milling, steel strip rolling, grinding and general cutting operations in dilutions with water @ 1/30 to 1/10 ratio.

Emulsion formation :-
It is desirable to use clean soft water with hardness of about 100 ppm. For very hard water over 400 ppm hardness treat with Sodium Carbonate ( Soda Ash/Washing Soda) 50 to 100 grms/100 ltrs of hard water.

For emulsion formation take water in a vessel and add Coolrite GP slowly with adequate stirring. At least 10/15 minutes stirring is recommended after full addition of the oil. Direct addition of the oil in machine’s circulation system or in the sump is not recommended. It is better to make emulsion seperately and add to the system.

Emulsion Quality Control :-
Emulsion quality control can be regularly carried out using pH paper. For checking swarf and oil content take sample from pump outlet in a transparent bottle. Oil content is readily determined by checking the refractive index of the emulsion and swarf by noting down the settled sediments in the sample bottle.Good filteration and tramp oil seperation regularly improves the emulsion life alongwith pH control.
